of speech recognition; dictation and correction
Learn how to use
KS ScreenSpeaker for highlighted read-back
Learn how to use
KS ScreenSpeaker for homophone checking
Second,
with a student and adults for approximately 1-1 ½ hours
Adults learn how
to train a student with the above software
Third,
with adults for approximately 2 hours
Learn to use
Dragon NaturallySpeaking for email (MS Outlook)
Learn to use
Dragon NaturallySpeaking in MS Word (NaturalWord)
Learn basic
formatting of document text with your voice
Learn to save
your voice file
Fourth,
with a student and adults for approximately 1 hour
Learn to teach
students to open the programs independently
Learn to teach
students to monitor their voice output
Learn to teach
students basic correction and selection
Learn to teach
students how to save their voice file and exit the programs

voice enrollment process, basics of speech recognition; dictation and
correction, KS ScreenSpeaker basics, email, NaturalWord, saving your voice file
Advanced KS
ScreenSpeaker
Learn the
NaturallySpeaking Learn to set the Stories Organizer
Learn to set the
advanced read-back configurations
Learn to set the
Echo Microsoft Word and Keyboard options
Learn the Text to
Speech options
Second,
with a student and adults for approximately 1-1 ½ hours
Learn to teach a
student to use ScreenSpeaker read-back jointly with Dragon’s playback to
monitor what s/he actually said and to decide whether to correct with Dragon or
to fix with the keyboard—and why!
Learn how to
teach a student to “verbally rehearse”, then to dictate
Learn how to
teach a student pacing and phrasing in dictation
Learn how to
teach students to compensate for various weaknesses (ADD, Phonological
Processing Disorder, LD, Language Disorder, etc.)
Third,
with adults for approximately 2-2 ½ hours
Learn how to
increase recognition accuracy
Learn simple
keystroke macros
Learn the
“correction box” macro
Learn how to
decide which edition of Dragon to order for individuals
Receive copies of
“fixes” for common issues
