We offer three different versions of Portable IMPACT to satisfy a wider range of communication requirements. Remember that the Palmtop, Handheld, and Tablet all run the same exact Portable IMPACT software and offer equivalent sets of onscreen keyboards (including symbol-based interfaces). You won't be missing out on any software features by choosing one version over another. The differences in hardware allow you to select a platform best-suited to your particular needs, without sacrificing any software features.

Because we use three different off-the-shelf computers for Portable IMPACT, the hardware features vary significantly between the versions. For example, you can plug any standard (PS/2) keyboard or mouse into the Tablet, but the Palmtop can only be used with a special keyboard, and can't use any type of mouse.
